Alchemy Joy is led by a practitioner and educator with long-term training in movement and restorative practices, and a grounded professional background. The approach blends learning, embodied practice, and real-world integration—so the work remains practical, supportive, and accessible.

Academic & Professional Background

  • Master’s degree in Government Administration, University of Pennsylvania
  • Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University
  • Former National Guard service member (Completed Airborne/Paratrooper training, Fort Benning)
  • Over 20 years of professional experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Somatic & Movement Training

  • Certified 500-hour Yoga Teacher
  • Specializations in Restorative, Yin, and Prenatal Yoga
  • Yoga Therapist in training
  • Certified Qigong and Science of Stretching® instructor
  • Certified Yoga Nidra instructor and NLP certified
  • Aikido practitioner

Athletic Context

Former competitive distance runner and triathlete. Marathon personal best: 3:36 (2018 Steamtown Marathon), 4th in age group, qualified for the 2020 Boston Marathon.
